Last month I wrote about 5 fun summer activities to do with your kids in Phoenix, and this month I wanted to expand on that by sharing the best indoor play areas around the valley. I don’t know about you, but the hotter weather means that for our family normal park playdates are on hold and we are seeking out indoor play options! So, to help keep you from going stir crazy, here are our best indoor play areas in Phoenix this year.
*Best New Indoor Play Area: Playzona
A newcomer to the indoor play area scene, Playzona offers a fun indoor space for your tiniest littles up through age 12. Several mama friends raved to me about Playzona and how it keeps the toddlers busy with a market, lots of little cars with a gas station and area to clean them, dress up area, camping and more! For older kids there offer art projects such as make your own comic book and fun toys including STEM based options such as a marble run. They do not offer food or drink, but you may bring your own as long as it is nut-free. The best part is there is no time limit and you can leave and return the same day!

*Best Indoor Play Area on the West Side: Luv 2 play
Located in the West Valley, Luv 2 Play is a great option for families who want a playdate later in the day as they are open until 7 pm. They offer play opportunities for 0-12 year olds with a special space for crawlers as well as toddlers age 1-4. A few great things about Luv 2 Play is there are no blind spots so keeping an eye on all your littles is easy. For older kids there are arcade games they will enjoy, as well as special spirit days and events throughout the summer. At Love 2 Play, once you are in for the day there is no time limit!

*Best Indoor Play Area for those who need flexible timing: Kids Empire, it’s enclosed and kids can’t run out as well as the others above, it’s bigger but so much climbing to do, slides, big legos to build and a little soccer field! And no time limit!They are open 10AM to 8 PM on the weekdays and 10AM to 10PM on the weekend!

*Best Indoor Play Area for active older kids:
Uptown Jungle older kids friendly There is a time limit here- tickets are sold in 90 and 120 minute increments. Older kids have larger play structures to choose from than including a ninja course and “mini zip”. Pro tip: Groupon often has deals for this if you are looking for a budget friendly option!

*Best Indoor Play Area on the East Side: Cafe Au Plait
If you are looking for something more on the east side check out this Scottsdale gem. Cafe Au Plait has delicious food and drink options while our tiny ones play! It is a smaller space but filled with some really lovely play options!
