Summer Time plus As You Wish Pottery equal Happy Kids! Plain and simple.
A part of a child’s summer should include art if you ask us! It’s so important to encourage little ones to be creative and let their artistic skills soar. One way we accomplish this is by painting at As You Wish for summer classes. It’s always a major hit with our family.
We have been to several locations and many times with our kids. This was the first time that we experienced working together with a group of kiddos in a class setting. I honestly enjoyed it more than open studio that we normally attend. It was guided by our instructor Ms. Liz (consider yourself lucky if you work with her).
Everything we needed was laid out for us including brushes, bowls, water sponges and even the recommended paint colors. This was HUGE for me since I have younger painters (ages 3 & 4). We were able to come in, pick our spots at the table and hang out until class began.
As the class begins you are guided step by step on how to accomplish the finished product. It was great to see all the children follow along. And if you are like me with young painters you can hop in and help and the instructor is readily available at any time. We had Ms. Liz add the adorable wording to our Grilled Cheese Plates.
If you attend this particular summer class I can guarantee you won’t have any troubles getting your kids to eat all their grilled cheese sandwiches when served on their special plates.
