I don’t know about you but brunch may be my most favorite meal. I just love breakfast foods! And if I can get a second breakfast and no lunch (lunch is my least favorite meal) in a day it just makes it much more enjoyable.
So I took a poll on our North Phoenix Moms Neighborhood Group for the best Phoenix brunch spots (good for kids too!), and got a good list of places. I’m sharing, plus adding a few of my personal favs!
OHSO
With a big outdoor patio and a GIANT mimosa or beer, kids and parents both win! I like the small concise menu and everything looks delicious, so it’s not overwhelming.
Oink Cafe
Bacon and mimosa flights for brunch…need we say more?
Snooze Eatery
Stuffed french toast, pancake flights, and many drink options are just a few things this place has going for it. I love the wide selection of menu options but I also don’t because it’s so hard to choose! But, going to brunch more than once a week could solve that problem.
Elly’s
This newer food spot is larger than it may seem from the outside. Kids can run around a play in the courtyard while waiting for a table or you can sit on the front patio and watch them if they just can’t sit still. The menu is large; they have juice and smoothie options, and a wide variety of coffee and teas.
Otro Cafe
Who doesn’t love Mexican food? They have an outside patio my kids like to run around in and, unless it’s changed, kids eat free (10 and under)!
Luci’s at the Orchard
If you haven’t been here please go. The food is great, the drinks menu is large and there’s a splash pad. Grass, picnic benches, large seats, places for blankets; it’s really the greatest spot to take your kids.
Vovomeena
This is one of my favorite places. I have yet to have a bad experience. They have a small back patio, great small menu, and you can see them cooking your food. Plus, the coffee is great!
Cafe at the Phoenix Public Market
This is a nice place downtown and would be fun to go to after checking out the Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.
The Joy Bus Diner
I’ve never been to this food spot, but I love the story behind it. Owner Jennifer Caraway had the vision to deliver healthy gourmet meals to home bound cancer patients as well as deliver compassionate interactions to meal recipients. From that came this restaurant where you can get a fresh and healthy meal and your money goes to help serve others.
I hope this list gave you a couple of new places to try. If you have any suggestions of places to give a shot let me know!
Wish I had heard of Joy Bus Diner while vacationing in Scottsdale with my toddler. Looks and sounds amazing!
For families looking for kid-friendly lunch and dinner spots, my friends compiled a short list here: https://thelittlestpassport.com/blog/2019/4/30/phoenix-scottsdale-kid-friendly-restaurants-activities
