Handmade Sushi in just 6 steps. Here’s how + YOUR CHANCE TO WIN YOUR VERY OWN SUSHIQUIK!
My family and I were so excited to receive this SushiQuik for review and giveaway as we LOVE sushi! If you are a sushi fan like me, you know how expensive sushi can be. Sometimes a night out with sushi (and saki) is needed but if you are wanting it more often… this kit is just the ticket!
First head to the grocery store and pick up your ingredients. My son loves California Rolls so we decided to keep our first sushi making attempt simple.
Ingredients:
- short grain sushi rice (we used brown)
- rice vinegar
- sugar
- salt
- nori seaweed sheets
- cucumber
- avocado
- imitation crabmeat
If you have a rice cooker, this is the time to use it. It helps make things super simple. If not, you can cook your rice on the stovetop. After your rice is cooked, you spread your rice onto the seaweed.
Then place all of your ingredients.
Then ROLL.
You then use the handy dandy roll cutter (be sure to use a sharp knife and I recommend the knife being wet too), placing it over your roll and cut your sushi into eight perfectly sized pieces!
We did not use a wet knife and our sushi pieces were not picture perfect this time, but we are hoping they will be the next time! My son ate most of the sushi roll by himself but I was allowed to enjoy and photograph a piece or two… next time we will be making more!
We are so pleased with this product and think it makes sushi something almost anyone can do themselves! Even little ones 🙂 Would you like to WIN your very own SUSHIQUIK?! Enter for your chance to win below.

I love any sushi out of the oridinary that is a little spicy, maybe has some jalapeño in it but my default go to order is spicy tuna 🙂
My favorite kind of sushi is actually veggie sushi, although I can do a mango salsa or tropical variation to most traditional rolls, ooooooh or anything with ponzu sauce. yum.
I love tootsie rolls. Not sure what’s inside, but it’s the eel sauce I really like!
Spicy tuna!!!
I love spicy tuna, but have been getting dragon rolls lately. Overall, I love anything spicy! The bigger “little” says shrimp tempura roll.
Mmmmm…..sushi……I love a good Vegas Roll!!! Or anything with some spice to it!!! My kiddos love sushi just as much as I do!!
My favorite is the California roll too!
Yum! Sushi is the one thing I craved my entire pregnancy. Hamachi all the way!
Favorite sushi is tuna
