The Science of Force | La ciencia de la fuerza
Girls in STEM’s May events, The Science of Force, will allow participants to investigate the REAL science that inspired their favorite comic, TV show or movie! On May 4 and 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., #GirlsInSTEM will investigate the science behind magnetism, soundwaves and the scientific “magic” displayed in sci-fi over the years. Through hands-on activities, STEM Mentor engagement and like-minded peer connections, participants won’t experience their favorite science fiction the same way again. Lunch will be provided.
Los eventos de mayo de Girls in STEM, La Ciencia de la Fuerza, permitirán a los participantes investigar la VERDADERA ciencia que inspiró sus cuentos, programas de televisión o películas favoritas. El 4 y 18 de mayo, de 9:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m., #GirlsInSTEM investigará la ciencia detrás del magnetismo, las ondas sonoras y la “magia” científica mostrada en la ciencia ficción a lo largo de los años. A través de actividades prácticas, con la ayuda de mentores en STEM y junto a compañeros con ideas afines, los participantes no experimentarán su ciencia ficción favorita de la misma manera nuevamente.
