Wet ‘N Wild

Is it spring or summer??I sure can’t tell! Though we have been blessed lately with some beautiful breezy days, let’s just accept the fact that the sun is already stinkin’ HOT and the HOTTER temps are right around the corner. With the triple digits in the near future I have been researching different fun things to do this summer to stay cool. Since hearing about the state budget cuts and finding out they are minimizing splash pad play and even turning off some altogether I knew I had to find another option from melting like a Popsicle on a hot summer’s day! And having no pool in our own backyard, we decided to look into some local pools, aquatic centers and water parks. After number crunching and looking at all the different options we decided (only living 5 miles from Wet ‘N Wild) to get a membership there this year. My girls don’t nap anymore and are 5.5 and 3.5  so we agreed that this summer was the perfect season to go for it!
We were ECSTATIC to find out they are offering the greatest deal!! Buy 4 regular  memberships at $54.99 (plus tax) each and get UNLIMITED parking normally $8 a visit. One day pass there is $39 so spend a little extra and you get a full summer membership… AMAZING!

We have already been three times and everyone is loving it. They have MORE than enough rides to accommodate every age! A huge Boogie Board Beach with ropes courses leading to fun slides and smaller easy slides with zero entry pool for the littles to play on. They also have a small Soak ’em playground, a  little splash pad that will easily entertain kiddos with dancing spraying water fountains! Head on over to Wet ‘N Wild Junior (where we spend most of our time) and let the older kids race down colored Bonzai slides, river raft downhill or spin around through a mini “Cyclone”  This area is great for the whole family and offers misting zones and plenty of shade! OR drop the kids off for some adult fun! Wet ‘N Wild Phoenix is home to the first jet propelled water slide in the WORLD “Maximum Velocity”  is a must ride and of course the HUGE “Tornado” Catapulting you 38 feet through a 160 foot funnel then dropping you into a pool is SO.MUCH.FUN! With 10+ rides to offer you won’t be bored, and if you are tired of the thrill take a break and float down the “Cactus Cooler” lazy river! There really is something for everyone to enjoy!

Wet n wild  Oh! And one of the free events they offer with admission or membership are “Dive in Movie” nights! Every Thursday and Friday evening they show a fun kid approved cartoon on a large screen over the wave pool! Grab spot on the grass or float on a raft while you watch the show! They run May 29-Aug 8th!

So, can you tell we love it?! We plan on going every day or so this summer to stay cool and make some great memories!! GO check out their memberships!! The fantastic deal only runs through the end of May!!
