West Valley Moms on Instagram in June

First of all, Happy 4th of July! I hope that you are able to spend your day with family and friends!

Well, last month we did a quick intro around Instagram. If you don’t know already, Instagram is a fun and easy way to share pictures with your friends and family, all from the convenience of your smart phone. And the app that has been available for the iPhone for over a year now, is finally available for Android as well! So if you have an iPhone or Android and don’t have Instagram – what are you waiting for?

FOLLOW US! Are you on Instagram? Come follow us at @wvmomsblog for glimpses into what fun things are happening on the blog.

IN JUNE :: we posted about some of the fun giveaways going on:

BE FEATURED! Also, if you’re doing something fun in the West Valley, attending a special event, visiting a local landmark, or just want to share what you’re up to with other West Valley Moms…be sure to TAG US! In the comments of your photos, tag us with @wvmomsblog or #wvmomsblog for a chance of a “shoutout” or feature from our account or on the blog! Each month we’ll be rounding up tagged photos to feature YOU!

IN JUNE :: some of our playdate moms shared photos with us (thank you @nstiller and @kaefam!):

And our #frumpstopumps10daychallenge began (thank you @beautifulinhim and @kaefam!):

#PHOTOADAY! Have you heard of #PHOTOADAY? It is a daily photo prompt that was started by blogger Chantelle of FatMumSlim. It’s popular on Instagram because you can tag your photo and check out what other IGers are doing as well. If you’re interested, jump on in! Here’s a quick overview of how to play, and here’s the list for #PHOTOADAYJULY!

APP HIGHLIGHT! Each month we highlight a fun photo app that you can use in conjunction with Instagram.

The app highlight for this month is PicFrame for the iPhone and iPad and for Android. PicFrame is by far one of my most frequently used photography apps in conjunction with Instagram. It helps you combine multiple photos into amazing looking frames. With 67 fully adjustable frames supporting up to 9 photos, text labels, rounded corners, photo effects, shadows, plenty of patterns and an easy color picker you will always have a unique look. At $.99 I think PicFrame is well worth the money, and I highly suggest the $.99 Label Add-on (which you can purchase once you download the app). If you follow me on Instagram, PicFrame is what I use to frame and label all of my #PHOTOADAY pictures. So go and download it, play around, and let me know what you think!

Hope to see you around on Instagram! And if you took pictures of your Fabulous 4th using Instagram, again be sure to tag us with @wvmomsblog or #wvmomsblog so we can feature YOU next month!
