West Valley Cooking Club- Hubby’s Favorite

0

Hi there! I am thrilled to invite you all along on our newest journey called the WVCC! That’s right, for those of you who are familiar with the Scottsdale Cooking Club welcome to the West Valley one! As soon as West Valley Moms Blog launched, I knew in some way I wanted to be a part of it. We had our first meeting Thursday and it was so much fun! Since we are still just starting out there are only a few of us but I know in a few months we will be one big loud group outgrowing the beautiful homes we are meeting in! Cooking club is a great opportunity to leave the munchkins with Dad or a sitter and enjoy a night out. The  wonderful conversation, contagious laughter, and delicious food was so very needed after a long day of mommy duties! In the midst of laundry and cleaning up toys scattered on the floor I was able to bake not one, but two dishes. You see, the theme of our first meeting was “Hubby’s Favorite” so when my man found out I would be bringing his favorite dessert he requested I leave one for him and the girls to enjoy 🙂

Upon arriving at the home of one of our lovely co-founders we were greeted by the yummy fall scent of a Pumpkin spice candle burning… the perfect way to start off the evening! After all the ladies arrived we sat down with a little bit of everything on our plates and continued getting to know each other. All of the dishes were heavenly! Some entrees, sides and even desserts! They all paired fabulously with the sparkling cider we drank from cute mason jars! I have the privilege of sharing two new recipes with you today!

The Creamy Bow-tie Pasta with Sausage was a hit! Unlike anything I have ever had and super easy to make! This is a nice way of taking the simple pasta and marinara sauce and mixing it up a little! You can find the recipe here thank you Lori!

The other one I wanted to share with you was a new hubby favorite that quickly turned into all of our favorites! Our wonderful hostess made these savory desserts called Sopapilla Cheesecakes! um… ya amazing. You can find the recipe here. Thank you Krystle!

We had such a great launch… I anticipate more appetizing and delectable food at our next rendez vous! I am so looking forward to sharing with you each month! Join the WVCC through the year and enjoy some great new recipes with us!

Until next month… Bon Appetite! And Happy Cooking 🙂
