I was so excited when I got the email from Stacey and Kate (our fearless leaders here at North Phoenix Moms Blog) that I was picked to review the Piggyback Rider. I think the fact that my youngest is the perfect size for it helped, but I’m hoping my amazing writing skills were part of the consideration…!
The Piggyback Rider was invented by two brothers who were trying to find an easier way to transport their kids. They came up with a product that is less bulky than a traditional hiking backpack and is more comfortable too! It’s simple, easy to use, and is tons of fun for kids.
We took the Piggyback Rider Explorer Toddler Carrier on our annual trip to Montana. My son, Auggie, is getting better at hiking longer distances, but his legs can’t always keep up with the group. At three years old and nearly 40 pounds, he outgrew our hiking backpack. However, we still try to squish him into it. This seemed like the perfect idea for a transition out of the backpack.
My first thought when I pulled the Piggyback Rider out of the box was that it was super light – no extra weight of a traditional backpack. It was also really simple to set up. I did look at the directions, but only to confirm that it really was as easy as it looked.
I clipped myself in and then my son in under 30 seconds.
Lucky for you – we are GIVING AWAY one of these AMAZING PIGGYBACK RIDER TODDLER EXPLORER CARRIERS (valued at $199)!
