Summer is well underway and it’s that time, once again, to read all of the latest and greatest thing to do in Phoenix to keep kiddos and parents entertained. Let’s have some fun!
All month long our friends at OdySea will be full of shark frenzied fun! It’s the first ever SOS: Summer of Sharks. There are over 40 sharks and nine species that call the aquarium home. There will be a variety of fun activities and events all month long. Enjoy shark feeds, special presentations in the Ocean Theater, scavenger hunts and photo ops inside a shark jaw!
Sundays at the ball park are the way to go! Join the kid’s club (it’s free!) and gets get free admission to Sunday home games with the purchase of an adult ticket. Bonus: kiddos get free swag with every visit. The Sandlot makes for a great place to get the kids worn out while still enjoying the game. Plus, after the game kids can enjoy running the bases. Go D-backs!
Have older kiddos? Maybe take in a day at the museum to see this one of a kind exhibit featuring all thing millennial. Give the teens a place to connect to others a look into the lives of 250 other 13 year-olds through pictures and videos.
Come take in the classic tale and Jack and his magic beans. Showing Wed-Friday mornings and Saturdays/Sundays through July 15th. Great for kids 4 and up; there is also a study and activity guide that can be downloaded to get the kids involved.
Take a unique, and cooler, look at the Botanical Gardens with a night time flash light tour. It encourages play, learning and adventure along a self-paced tour. Happening Saturday nights through September 1st. Brings your flashlight and explore!
Housed at the Civic Center Library, this gallery takes a look at an ancient world of pre-historic flora and fauna. A look at the ocean that once covered our desert as imagined through an artist’s eyes. Running until August 31, this free event is a great way to escape the heat and get immersed in a world of colors, textures and AC.
With free classes happening throughout the month, it’s a great time to try Barre3. Mark your calendar for July 15th, for a free class at Kierland, (Anthroplogie) and stay for a private shopping event and 15% off! More free classes are happening July 28th at both the North Scottsdale and PV studios. Barre3 members get special perks all month long. It’s a perfect time to take the plunge!
