The Skimm- A Daily Resource for News {review}

0

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

If you are anything like me, you like to stay on top of what is going on in the world, but don’t have the time to read CNN throughout the day. I make an effort to check the news every morning and also we DVR the evening news and watch that every night. Still, some stories slip through the cracks and I will hear about something that I feel I *should* know about. Or a major news story will sneak up on me and I will have to go back and play catch up.  As citizens of the world, I feel it is important to stay on top of what is going on in it.

Enter The Skimm. I recently started subscribing to this daily email newsletter and I  enjoy reading it each morning. It delivers the major news events YOU should know about  in a fun and easily digestible format. The Skimm was started by two women last year who were working at NBC news and saw an opportunity to start a service to help people get caught up on important news stories in an easy way. I am so glad they started this project! Obviously not every single news story can be covered in a short newsletter but I have to say, most of the major stories are there.  When these topics come up in conversation, it’s handy to have an idea of what people are talking about. Plus, if you want to read in more detail about a particular story, there are links provided in the newsletter.

And, it’s FREE! I highly recommend subscribing to this great resource today. What do you have to lose?

And of course, remember to also check out Emily’s News Bites for Busy Moms every Monday on this very blog too 🙂

Have a great day!
