What MOM is going to say no to an organic skincare mask? Relaxing, hydrating, calming, anti-aging. Hello, all the things I want at the end of my day! Here is a quick all natural DIY pumpkin mask with only 5 ingredients… because, you know, its fall and we can’t resist anything with pumpkin in it.
What you need to make this all natural skincare mask.
- 1/4 cup organic pumpkin puree (can be store bought or made from scratch).
- 1 organic egg
- 1 Tablespoon organic milk
- 1 Tablespoon organic raw local honey
- 1 Tablespoon organic oats with pumpkin and chia seed bleed (can be any oats )
Remember all your ingredients do not need to be organic to make this mask great. I used what I had on hand in my pantry.
Mix up all your ingredients into a bowl.
Start with a clean face. No makeup, so your skin can really benefit from this treatment. Massage the mask on to your face, or paint with a skincare brush. I used my hand, so that I could use the oats to exfoliate my dry areas. The pumpkin has enzymes in it that will help moisturize and fight these dry areas.
Let the mask sit for about 20 minutes, until its dry. Wash off with warm water. You skin will be left feeling hydrated and smooth. Pumpkin, as my mom always calls it, is a superfood. It contains vitamin A, vitamins C, K, and E, and minerals, including magnesium, potassium, and iron. Seriously, a super food. So much good stuff for your skin and body. This mask will help with acne patches, as pumpkin also has Zinc in it. The vitamin C will help clarify as well. The K and E will help against any environmental damage. Because Pumpkin is an antioxidant it is also helping with anti-aging effects. Egg will help fight those fine lines and wrinkles also. Magnesium is going to help reduce those dark circles! Can I get an, Amen!? The white of the egg contain collagen and protein, both amazing for plump skin. The milk, is calming and while it controls oil, it also will hydrate the skin naturally. Raw local honey, will reduce skin spots and fight acne. This mask is for anyone, and everyone. It covers it all. I applied my nightly moisturizers after. You will have some extra mask left over. I package it up in a mason jar, and gifted it to my neighbor. If you want you can keep in your fridge for up to 3 days or freeze it. Just remember there is raw egg in it, so keep it refrigerated.
