When you’re running around all morning, getting the kids ready for school, and trying to get yourself going as well, what’s your morning fuel? Smoothies are a great meal-on-the-go for kids and moms. Today we are sharing two nutritious (and delicious!) smoothie recipes courtesy of Core by Liz!
Lean Green Smoothie
Ingredients
½ frozen banana
½ avocado
2 c spinach
2 clementines, peeled or a handful of berries of your choice – we love strawberries!
1 scoop Cinnamon Swirl Whey Protein or Vanilla Whey Protein
½ c ice
8 oz water or almond milk
Instructions
- Pour liquid into the blender first, then add the rest of the ingredients.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy!
Macros using clementines, cinnamon protein and water :: 400 calories, 48 g carbs, 11 g fat, 30 g protein
Morning Mocha Buzz
Ingredients
1 frozen banana
1 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp instant espresso
2 tbsp PB2 (powdered peanut butter)
1 scoop Chocolate Whey Protein
8 oz cold coffee
Instructions
- Pour coffee into the blender first, then add the rest of the ingredients.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy!
Macros :: 270 calories, 36 g carbs, 2 g fat, 31 g protein
