You’ve made it through the grueling days of summer, and now you are ready to enjoy some amazing rooftop or patio dining as we head toward all those months where we remember why we live in Phoenix. To celebrate making it to the other side of another summer, here’s a Phoenix Patio and Rooftop Dining Guide!

Phoenix Patio at OHSO brewery

OHSO:
OHSO has a basically perfect patio dining experience with misters and fans galore for when it is still a bit toasty out. Perhaps the best part is how kid AND pet friendly OHSO is. They have little bowls of water for the pups and my kids love watching all the different kinds of dogs. During the weekend you can enjoy various brunch selections, and you can add on a mimosa or a local beer for 1 cent!
OHSO has two Phoenix locations: one in the Arcadia area at 4900 E. Indian School Rd. and one in the Paradise Valley area at 10810 N Tatum Blvd. #126

From the Rooftop:
If you are in downtown Phoenix then check out this bar and restaurant located on the roof of the Cambria Hotel. They have beautiful skyline views and they also do brunch on the weekends. This restaurant would make a wonderful start to a day date if you paired that with a trip to the nearby Japanese Friendship Garden- one of our favorite outdoor activities!
Located at: 222 E Portland Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85004

Lon’s at Hermosa Inn:
If you are celebrating or marking a special occasion then definitely check out Lon’s at Hermosa Inn. The outdoor space feels so special and I find it romantic enough for a perfect anniversary celebration, but you don’t have to wait for an anniversary to enjoy all the delicious food here. The beautiful patio somehow makes the food taste even better!
Located at: 5532 N Palo Cristi Rd, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253

Different Pointe of View:
If the mountain views are the main reason you love living in Phoenix, then you should definitely plan to visit Different Pointe of View. Their outdoor space provides beautiful views of North Mountain and their fun “Signature Sippers” are all desert themed. Pro tip: plan ahead and try to get a reservation around sunset.
Located at: 11111 North 7th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85020 (inside Hilton Pointe Tapatio Cliffs)

Windsor:
Windsor describes their patio as “backyard-style” and if so it is one of the coolest backyards ever. Laid back, family friendly, and open from lunch to late night with brunch served on the weekends, Windsor is an uptown staple. If you bring the kids with you, save room and wander next door to Churn, which basically shares a patio with Windsor and is a favorite ice cream spot!
Located at: 5223 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, Arizona 85012

Culinary Dropout at The Yard
The Phoenix location of Culinary Dropout has plenty of backyard games like corn hole, and foosball, and a variety of seating options in their outdoor bar and dining areas. The atmosphere is playful and you can even flash back to college days with their “Paperbag Special” which is a low end mystery beer served in a paper bag. Drop by for happy hour and enjoy their soft pretzels and provolone fondue at a discounted price.
Located at: 5632 N. 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85014

Ocotillo:
Ocotillo has plentiful outdoor dining options, and includes “Lucy’s Lawn” which is perfect to give your littles some space to enjoy running off some energy. They also have a beer garden and a “chef’s ramada.” It is a Phoenix favorite for brunch and offers kid friendly food options and a great ambience!
Located at: 3243 N 3rd St., Phoenix, AZ 85012

Phoenix Rooftop bar Don Woods' Say When Neon Sign

Don Woods Say When:
Whether you prefer mountain views or city skylines, you get the best of both worlds at Say When in uptown Phoenix. The cocktails here are curated by the same mixologist that made Bitter and Twisted and Lylo Swim Club notable Phoenix date night spots. If you really want to make a night of it, take a staycation at Rise hotel and walk straight to your room when you’re done enjoying this rooftop delight.
Located at: 400 W Camelback Rd., Phoenix,AZ 85013

Chelsea’s Kitchen:
The beautiful patio at Chelsea’s Kitchen feels like something out of a fairytale after sunset with their greenery and string lights. You can’t go wrong with the menu choices at Chelsea’s Kitchen, but especially notable is that they have a great kids’ menu and incredible red velvet cake.
Located at: 5040 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85018
