I hope y’all had a great weekend! I certainly did with the start of Shark Week! The first couple of episodes were amazing! In all, 13 new shows will debut this week. Can’t wait!
OdySea Aquarium Opening Next Year
Lucky for us, sharks and other sea creatures will be coming to the desert. In December 2015, the new OdySea Aquarium will open in Scottsdale. I checked out the website and from what I saw, the aquarium looks incredible! From massive tanks holding fish from around the world and interactive touch pools to an underwater SeaTrek Adventure and even penguins, the people behind the OdySea are creating a world-class aquarium. The thought of being able to enjoy an air-conditioned aquarium like this with my little guy in the middle of the hot, hot summer… well, where do I sign up!? Right now, the OdySea is selling memberships at all different levels including Annual and Lifetime Family passes.
Another Sprouts is heading to our North Phoenix community. The store will open early next year in the Lake Pleasant Towne Center off of Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant Parkway. I really love Sprouts and now I’ll have 2 stores within 15 miles of my house! Sprouts is a Arizona-based company that went public last year. It operates 175 stores in 10 states.
Phoenix Skies Host NORAD Tomorrow
You or your little ones may notice some unusual activity in the skies tomorrow. North American Aerospace Defense Command also known as NORAD will be conducting training exercises over Phoenix. If weather permits, the exercises will take place between 10am-Noon. NORAD is a partnership between the U.S. and Canada to keep North America’s skies safe.
