New Years Eve Glam
As a mother of three, time is of the essence! Even if your New Years Eve plans consist of staying home with your littles and some close friends, its nice to have quick hair and makeup options for the dozens of selfies you’ll be taking when the clock strikes midnight. You want your lipstick staying put and your curls staying curly until you toast the champagne and set off the party poppers.
Sparkle
Makeup: Make your eyes pop! Use an eye primer all over your lid. My fav is painterly MAC Cosmetics. Use your fav glitter shadow and with your finger, press all over your lid. Try a MAC pressed pigment in your favorite shade. Take your favorite neutral taupe or brown and dust through your crease; add black gel or liquid liner, and three coats of mascara for an extra lashy look.
Hair: My favorite 5 minute hair is what I like to refer to as the Ariana Grande. Take a triangle section at the top of your head and before securing with small elastic gently tug pieces to loosen the pony and add a little volume.
Be Bold
Makeup: Lipstick lovers this one is for you! Grab a patent polish lip pencil and your favorite liquid lipstick for a smear proof evening! (Sultana MAC Cosmetics and Oh Lady Liquid Lip Stick) Don’t be afraid to go heavier on the blush to balance out such a bold lip.
Hair: Loose curls are a must for this makeup look. Use a 1 inch curler to tightly curl your entire head. Use a soft bristle brush to brush out the tight curls, and finish the look with your favorite texture spray. Kenra texture spray is my fave. Starting with a tighter curl will ensure your style lasts past midnight.
No Makeup-Makeup
You may have recently witnessed a wave of celebrities committed to the no makeup trend; an insider secret (there is still makeup on the no makeup celebrity shhh). Grab your favorite BB Cream to even out your complexion (Kiels is my fav), use a peachy clear lip gloss to add a bit of moisture and shine to your lip. I love Fresh Cosmetics.
Hair: No blow dryer needed! Add a dab of leave in conditioner to tame the mane. Now is a great time to pull out your favorite hair accessory, a scarf or jeweled hair clip to embellish a pulled back or side swept bun. Low maintenance and elegant. I’m loving the no makeup natural hair trend of 2016, and I hope everyone tries it at least once.
