It’s time for another Happy Hostess from me, Jen. This one actually comes from my own archives when my second son turned two and we threw him a Dino Party!
This party was “dino-mite” with lots of bright colors and patterns. We held it at a local Marriott timeshare because of its amazing kiddie pool for the little ones to splash around! The birthday boy had to match the party, of course! I dressed him in theme with a dino shirt and bathing suit from Old Navy.
I purchased an awesome printable party kit from StrawberryMommyCakes which really created a great vibe for this party! Along with all the printables, I added several of my own touches. These included cute dino cut-out containers for popcorn using my silhouette machine, plastic dinos used as cupcake toppers, candy jars with dino lids and dino fossils which I created out of old coffee grounds. I sent them home with the kids because we ran out of time at the party but inside each fossil they would discover a little, plastic dinosaur. How cool is that?!
Being that the celebration was a water party I also found inflatable dinos at the dollar store that we brought to play with in the pool, the kids loved them SO MUCH and since we didn’t have a lot of people show each kid got to take one home. They were THRILLED about this!
The food spread was delicious and the bright printables were the perfect touch!
We had a small group but it ended up being the best time and my boy sure did love the attention! Do you go all out for your kids parties? We’d love to feature you send me an email [email protected]
Cutest party ever!!! Love the images and all the cute little dino details ๐
