California Pizza Kitchen has a new menu…
and it’s not just pizzas and salads!
North Phoenix Moms Bloggers were invited to dine at California Pizza Kitchen Biltmore to sample their #newcpk menu… along with some dishes they are known and loved for! Here is a recap of our evening out and all the delicious food we enjoyed!
Served up first was the Bianco California Flatbread :: whipped truffle cream, gorgonzola, mozzarella and fresh sage along with the Sangria Flight :: three 3oz pours of orchard, red-berry and seasonal sangria. I can guarantee you I will be ordering up this trio of sangrias next time, they were light, refreshing and tasty! The first of many main courses we enjoyed was the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza :: created in 1985, CPK’s legendary BBQ sauce, smoked gouda, red onions and fresh cilantro transform this original to iconic, along with the Wild Mushroom :: shaved cremini, shiitake, portobello and white mushrooms with slivered scallions, cracked black pepper, romano, mozzarella and finished with parmesan. The pizzas were paired with a seasonally unique cocktail called the California Roots :: Svedka vodka, fresh avocado, mint and agave sour fennel salt rim.
The next two dishes we dined on (which I think I can say without a doubt blew all of us away!) were the Fire-Grilled Ribeye :: 12oz USDA choice ribeye grilled with housemade pinot noir sea salt and topped with creamy bleu cheese butter, served with roasted fingerling potatoes, lemon-garlic wild arugula salad and the Hearth-Roasted Halibut :: wild caught Alaskan halibut roasted on a cedar plank with grilled asparagus and butternut squash farro & baby kale. These were two of the best dishes I have eaten in a long while, and who knew you could order them at CPK?!
For dessert, we were served the Strawberry Shortcake :: fresh shortcake biscuit piled high with seasonal strawberries, whipped cream and house made candied lemon zest, as well as the Salted Caramel Pudding :: rich caramel pudding, black cocoa cookie crumbs, house made whipped cream, caramel sauce and natural flaked sea salt.

CPK Fun Fact :: Did you know that for only $10 your littles can roll and throw their own pizza dough?! Talk about the perfect addition to a children’s birthday party… #nphxmoms contributor Lesley and I got to try our hands on it and it was SO much fun!!!
