Cirque du Soleil – Varekai

This post is sponsored by the Cirque Du Soleil. My opinions are my own and I absolutely love this entertainment show.

If you’re like me you LOVE an experience! I mean it. I love to escape everyday life on an adventure…a good movie, show, etc. Sign. Me. Up. Today I’m talking to you about the Cirque du Soleil Show – Varekai that is coming to town. I have attended this entertaining series of shows over the past 10 years and I am never disappointed. The moment I see those Cirque du Soleil tents I start to get excited! As the show begins I’m always so engulfed by the magic, mystery and more that is brought to us by a band of contortionist, acrobats and other amazing performers. As I sit and take it all in, time stands still, and I’m on my adventure…watching as the story unfolds before me. It’s such a wondrous experience that I know I’m not the only one that feels this way about Cirque Du Soleil.

So if you are looking for an adventure for Valentines Day or “just because” be sure to grab your ticket to Varekai. The show will perform in Phoenix at the US Airways Center from February 18-22, 2015 for seven performances only. More show details below. Tell me…what Cirque Du Soleil shows have you seen?

A dormant volcano, a mystical forest and an ancient prophecy… The adventure of Icarus begins.

Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world-a world where something is possible. A world called Varekai.

The sky lets go a solitary young man, and the story of Varekai begins. Parachuted into the shadows of a magical forest, a kaleidoscopic world imbued with fantastical creatures, a young man takes flight in an adventure both absurd and extraordinary. On this day at the edge of time, in this place of pure and undiluted possibility, begins an inspired incantation to a life rediscovered and to a newly found wonder in the mysteries of the world and the mind.

The word Varekai (pronounced ver·ay·’kie) means “wherever” in the Romany language of the gypsies the universal wanderers.  Directed by Dominic Champagne, this production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai.
