Black Friday Extravaganza

0

I have joined the group. The group that plays Christmas music before Thanksgiving. You know? That group who also puts up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving. (I’m still trying to convince my husband to put up the tree). There’s something about the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season I enjoy. I like to fill my calendar with endless holiday events. I try my best to find free things for my family to do. And I also like to find bargains on all those extra Holiday expenses too. I guess that is why I am also a part of the crazy Black Friday shoppers group. 🙂

Black Friday to me consists of me being a part of the Black Friday email mailer. This website: www.blackfriday.com, sends you emails alerting you when a store’s Black Friday ad has been leaked. Most of the items in the ads, I don’t need to buy, but I enjoy comparing deals from various stores. I do, however, create a small shopping list of items I do need. 😉

Last year, my son was little over a month old. Black Friday shopping bargain hunting was fun, but the thought of missing sleep to shop, wasn’t that appealing. That’s when I discovered a secret- most retailers offer the same deal ONLINE! That’s right! I got the couple items I needed for the SAME price and never had to leave my home. If you sign up to receive emails from some of your favorite stores, they will send you coupons and other promotional deals so come Black Friday or Cyber Monday, just click away!

Here are the stores I love to have in my inbox:

  • The Children’s Place
  • Old Navy
  • Bath and Body Works
  • Kohl’s
  • Carter’s
The majority of these stores offer “DOOR BUSTER” deals. Make sure you check the ads and use the coupons for the most savings!

Another part of my Black Friday Extravaganza is venturing out to the public. I like the rush and the hustle and bustle with my Starbucks in hand. I know this year there is so much controversy over stores opening at midnight. To me, I like the option. It’s much easier for me to stay up, then to get up when it’s dark and cold. However, not all stores are opening at midnight.

These stores opening at midnight or earlier this Black Friday:

I did notice in my research that not all of the stores in the outlet/mall will be participating in the midnight hours. So make sure you check out their website, for specific store listings!

(Sidebar: I was pretty bummed to learn that JCPenney doesn’t open till 6 am. They are having an awesome deal on boots and I wish I could add them to my early morning shopping list!)

Last, check out Amazon this week. Each day they are having “LIGHTNING” deals. Great items! You may find something you can check off your list!

Yeah it’s a crazy time of year. But, you can fight the crowds or stay at home! I just prefer to do both!
