A List of the Best Beauty Products From Target

0

As an aesthetician, I’m often asked what I recommend for facial products. There are so many products out there ad it can be overwhelming to choose the right one. And, oh my gosh, can they be expensive! I have literally tried hundreds of different cleansers, moisturizers, exfoliants and countless tubes of lipstick. My bathroom looks like a science lab!

Beauty Products from Target

Believe me, I get it. You are busy juggling kids, work, being a wife and having some semblance of a social life. And money is tight! The last thing you want to do is drag the kids to another store and then spend $50.00 on a jar of face cream, only to find out it’s terrible.

I’m here to help, mamas! I’ve put together my favorite beauty items you can get at Target. Oh, how I LOVE Target! You can bring the kids, buy them a bag of popcorn, sit them in the cart and shop to your heart’s content. The popcorn is key, because it takes them a long time to eat it. You might even get really lucky and hear silence for four full minutes.

P.S. These are truly products that I love and use on the daily.

Cleanser/Face Wash – CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser

I’m sorry I have to tell you this, but face wipes are not a replacement for washing your face. Those are good for helping to remove your makeup before you wash your face. That being said, a good practice is to wash your face twice: once to remove the dirt and makeup from your face, and again to actually cleanse the skin. I love this CeraVe cleanser; I have the most sensitive skin on earth and this has been the only drugstore face wash that doesn’t give me angry skin.

Moisturizer/Sunblock Combo – CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen

I don’t like telling people what to do, but you should be wearing sunblock EVERYDAY. Yes, even when it’s cloudy. You already know the dangers of skin cancer. Also, sun damage is the absolute number one cause of premature aging and wrinkles. This moisturizer is great and you have your sunscreen built in so it’s one less thing to think about.

Now for the fun stuff! I love playing with makeup and copying trends I see on Pinterest. However, for my daily makeup routine, I like to keep things pretty simple. This is a list of my go to products for getting ready in a jiffy. (Yes, I just said jiffy. I’m totally bringing back that word).

Concealer – Maybelline® FIT ME!® Concealer

If you have perpetual dark circles under your eyes like I do, just dab a bit of this to cover them up and make you look like you actually got some sleep last night.

Foundation/Face Powder – NYX Professional Makeup Hydra Touch Powder Foundation

I really don’t like having that sticky, makeup feel. And once summer comes, when I’m cranky and miserable, this powder is light and provides decent coverage without making me feel like I’m suffocating.

Blush  – NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Blush

Because I am the exact color of paste, I use this blush to bring some color and life to my face. A little bit goes a long way.

Mascara – Maybelline ™ Volum’ Express™ The Falsies™ Push Up Drama Angel Mascara

You will never, EVER catch me without mascara on. Even when I am tired or sick, I will still muster up the 60 seconds it takes to put on my beloved mascara. I will be buried with this in my hand.

Lip Gloss – Lip Smacker Dr Pepper LipBalm

Totally not kidding here, I have always kept this in my purse. Yes, since I was 10 years old. It’s the perfect hint of color and it looks great on anyone. (Fun little mom memory – I remember when my girls were little and they felt so special when they got to borrow my “yipstick.”. It was always the Lip Smackers!)

There you have it! With just seven products and about 15 minutes, you have what you need to look polished and professional. Happy shopping, and see you at Target! I’ll be in the beauty department looking for my next find.
